Roswell’s Comprehensive Master Plan is more than just a document — it’s a collective vision, shaped by the people who live, work, and invest in this city. This planning process is designed to guide the future of Roswell in a thoughtful, inclusive, and strategic way. It considers how the city will grow, how neighborhoods will evolve, and how resources will be managed to improve quality of life for all residents.

 

At its core, the plan looks at the big picture: where new development should occur, how infrastructure can support growth, and what steps are needed to ensure Roswell remains a healthy, vibrant, and resilient community. It addresses essential topics like housing, transportation, economic opportunity, land use, parks and recreation, environmental sustainability, and more.

 

But what truly sets this process apart is its foundation in community participation. A diverse Steering Committee has been established to help guide the plan, representing a broad spectrum of voices and interests. Throughout the planning timeline, residents and stakeholders are invited to take part in public workshops, interactive design sessions (charrettes), and feedback opportunities — both in person and online. This ensures the plan reflects the real needs, priorities, and aspirations of Roswell’s people.

 

Once input is gathered, our team of planners and designers will develop a draft plan — complete with maps, visuals, and practical strategies — and bring it back to the community for review. This draft won’t just describe a vision for the future; it will offer clear steps for how to get there. The plan will outline who is responsible for which actions, when they should happen, and what resources may be needed along the way.

 

It will also include recommendations for potential policy updates, zoning changes, infrastructure planning, and other city regulations that may need to evolve to support Roswell’s future. While this plan won’t rewrite the city’s codes, it will identify what needs to change and offer creative solutions to help Roswell move forward.

 

Importantly, the final Comprehensive Plan will include tools for tracking progress and keeping the public informed — from implementation timelines to web-based updates and community dashboards.

 

Through this open and collaborative process, the Roswell Comprehensive Plan will become a powerful, living document — one that helps our city grow smarter, stronger, and more connected than ever before.
